Why doesn’t my transaction appear on the right date?

Here’s why the displayed date of your transaction isn’t always the same as the date it was made:

Bill payments

Any payments made Monday to Friday before 9 p.m. ET are dated the same day.

Payments made after 9:00 p.m. ET or on a weekend or holiday are dated the next business day.

 

Transfers (between your accounts or to another person)

Your transfers are always sent instantly.

If you make your transfer after 9:00 p.m. ET, on a weekend or on a holiday, it will be dated the next business day.

 

Debit purchases

Purchases made after 9:00 p.m. ET on a weekend or holiday are dated the next business day.
