In Canada, you can check your credit rating online for free or by requesting a copy of your file.

 

Here’s how to check your credit score:

 

Online:

Sign in to your credit file via Equifax or TransUnion.

 

By mail:

Apply electronically or by mail through Equifax or TransUnion by completing the forms provided.

 

You can also order your credit report by phone by contacting Equifax Canada at 1-800-465-7166.

 

In person:

Visit your local Equifax or TransUnion office to apply in person.

 

Good to know:

Your applications appear on your file, but do not affect your score.
