What do I do with my NBI Altamira CashPerformer Account after June 3 2024?

The NBI Altamira CashPerformer ®, 1 Account is a high-interest savings account that can be held as part of a TFSA, RRSP, RESP, non-registered account, or pension plan/retirement fund.

Our cash solution solutions are changing. Effective June 3, 2024, the NBI Altamira CashPerformer Account (NBC9100) or the NBI Altamira U.S. CashPerformer Account (NBC9101) will no longer be offered in our branches. No action is required if you have either of these accounts and wish to keep them. However, you won’t be able to carry out new transactions or make changes to an existing systematic savings plan. 

Make an appointment to update your investment strategy and select your new investment solution.

1. NBI Altamira CashPerformer ® Account is offered* by National Bank of Canada (“NBC”), through National Bank Investments Inc. (hereinafter “NBI”), a wholly owned subsidiary of NBC. NBC is a member of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC). Deposit to the NBI Altamira CashPerformer® Account or the NBI Altamira U.S. CashPerformer® Account is a “deposit” within the meaning of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation Act, provided the requirements of CDIC are satisfied.

NBI reserves the right to refuse a transaction that may have been accepted electronically. The refusal will be done within a maximum of 24 hours after acceptance. Maximum investment of $5,000,000 is applicable for the NBI Altamira CashPerfomer® Account and the NBI Altamira U.S. CashPerfomer® Account* provided by NBC. 

The NBI Altamira U.S. CashPerformer® Account cannot be held in registered accounts. 

*As of June 3, 2024, these accounts will no longer be offered by NBC.
